Sterisept Ready to Use – Alcohol-free rapid disinfectant and cleaning solution for invasive and non-invasive medical devices and alcohol-sensitive surfaces
Product Description: Sterisept Ready to Use is a ready-to-use disinfectant and cleaning solution for both invasive and non-invasive medical devices and alcohol-sensitive surfaces. The product contains no alcohol, aldehydes, or biguanides (PHMB), making it suitable for cleaning all water-tolerant surfaces in healthcare facilities.
The product effectively disinfects and cleans surfaces and devices, with broad-spectrum activity against bacteria, viruses, fungi, and spores. Sterisept Ready to Use has bactericidal properties (including MRSA and VRE), mycobactericidal properties (e.g., Mycobacterium avium and Mycobacterium terrae), fungicidal and anti-yeast properties, as well as activity against viruses (HBV, HIV, HCV, Vaccinia, Rota, Noro) and spores (e.g., Clostridium difficile).
Composition: 100 g of the product contains the following active ingredients:
Didecyl-Dimethyl-Ammonium Chloride (DDAC) — 0.45 g
N-(3-aminopropyl)-N-dodecylpropane-1,3-diamine — 0.45 g
Instructions for Use: Sterisept Ready to Use is a ready-to-use product. Apply the product to the surface so that the entire surface is evenly covered with the disinfectant solution. The contact time is at least 60 seconds (depending on effectiveness against different microbes). The product can be applied either by spraying or by using a cloth soaked with the solution. Spraying is recommended only for hard-to-reach areas. Spray from a distance of approximately 30 cm from the surface, then spread evenly with a cloth. When using a cloth, moisten it with the product and wipe the surface thoroughly.
After the contact time has passed, remove any residue of the disinfectant from the surface with a damp cloth if the surface or device will come into contact with people or food.
Pre-disinfection of surgical instruments before sterilization: Pre-disinfection of surgical instruments before sterilization is an essential step in ensuring an effective and safe sterilization process. The instruments should be sprayed with Sterisept Ready to Use to ensure that all instruments are properly moistened. Then, continue the sterilization process according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
